What is the healthiest and best option for permanent hair straightening?

The Japanese hair straightening method, aka: Japanese Straightening, Thermal Reconditioning, Straight Perm, and Japanese Straight Perm.

My sister uses this, and *raves* about it. (She's been having her hair straightened for years.) She says it may cost more, but it's really worth it to her.

Just remember: it's still a process that "damages" healthy hair, so you just need to take extra care of your hair (as you would if you colored, or permed your hair).
