Dyed my hair before I knew I was pregnant...?

I dyed my hair at the beginning of September and a week later found out I was about 5 weeks pregnant. I'm now in my 14th week and so far it's been a good pregnancy. However, since it's extremely prohibited that you not dye your hair in the first trimester I'm very scared. Has anyone actually dyed their hair in the first trimester and had a healthy baby??? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's not 'extremely prohibited' to dye your hair in the first trimester. Research has shown that there may be an elevated risk to dyeing your hair in the first trimester, however, since you really don't absorb much if any of the dye at all through your scalp, the risk would be minimal at best anyway.

I died my hair and cleaned and so on and my babys came out fine.

She people have before. A lot of people do a lot of things in their first trimester before knowing they were pregnant and their babies were fine. And they probably did things a lot worse then dying their hair. And if everything checked out at the doctors your good dont worry.

although not recommended, it's not dangerous. i asked my doctor and my hair salon. they both said it's not dangerous, but it's not recommended either. dont worry. im sure your fine! by the way, the woman i asked at the salon was pregnant as well. hope this helped!

I have been dying my hair since before I found out as long as your in a well ventilated place then there is no worries. Dont worry the baby will be fine.

i did the same thing and i asked my hairdresser who has 4 kids and she said aslong as you dont have dry or cracked skin on your head/face you will be fine i wish you all the luck and congrats
