Well, i think that mayonaise makes it shinier.....i use Biosilk products......they have a serum that will make your hair smooth, detangle it, and leave it feeling soft and silky the whole day....it's my fav!!

sunsilk products work, or herbal essance products. smells nice too! they're not expensive either.

Coconut oil is good, just wet ur hair then put cocunut oil on, leave in for one hour..then wash out if a clear type of shampoo, like herbal esseceness something along that line. also, raw egg yolks as shampoo for one week and that's all you need and it lasts for 3 months!

Okay this may sound really weird and obvious but for some reason whenever I allow my hair to dry naturally it becomes so so soft and silky that it's almost as if you're touching air. I love it ! I don't know why though because if I use a harsh brush to comb through my wet hair or a hairdryer my hair isn't silky at all !

Also, I've heard that rubbing a silk cloth over your hair helps it to shine if you've got a lot of spare time ! And combing it loads makes it unbelievably silky (but also greesy so not too much). And do not brush wet hair with any sort of hairbrush but use a wide-toothed comb starting at the ends and working your way up as a bristle brush will yank out the hair and make it split.

Hope some of this helped !! x
