What is the difference between eyebrow hair and head hair at the molecular level?

I noticed that my eye brow hair is substantially smoother, softer and healthier overall than my head hair? I know that part of the answer is that we touch and mess withour head hair more often but there must be another reason.

The hair on your head is not too different from the hair present on other places of your body. However, The hair on top of you head is on the top of your body where a lot of heat escapes and passes though your hair. Also, the sun plays a large part in damaging your hair even though you cannot feel it. This is why sometimes the hair at the very edge of your hairline is a lot smoother and silkier than the hair on the top of your head. Your eyebrows along with the rest of the hair on your body is determined heavily by genetics. This type of hair grows at a predetermined genetic length. Of course, disorders and other diseases may make the hair grow longer or shorter but generally if left in normal conditions it will only grow to a certain length.

well eyebrow hair doesnt get treated as poorly as head hair does...and its shorter so the oils from ur skin reach the whole hair waaaay sooner than they would reach the end of reglar length hair
