Here is the regimen that I use when my hair gets extremely dry in winter and summer. It REALLY helps!!!

Once or twice a week:

Massage a dollop of mayonnaise into your hair and leave it on for one hour OR comb olive oil through your hair with a wide tooth comb and leave on all night (shampooing it out in the morning).

Shampoo (choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair. I use Pantene Pro-V.)

Condition your hair and leave conditioner on for 5 minutes (after I put conditioner on, I pull my hair back with a scrunchie while I wash the rest of my body閳ヮ洑his takes 5 minutes or longer. I also use Pantene Pro-V conditioner).

Towel dry (do not blow dry unless you HAVE to, it will make dry hair even dryer!). Apply a dab of VO5 Conditioning Hairdressing from about the middle of your hair to the tips. Do not apply it to the roots or your hair will look greasy. (It comes in a tube. The box it is packaged in is gold colored).

Style as usual.

For the rest of the week:

Use the VO5 just on the VERY ENDS of your hair閳?every morning before styling.

Its all the dying causing the split ends. use Biolage conditioner. the kind made for damaged and stressed hair.

Use a deep conditioner ( on the cheaper end,Cholesterol, Placenta(can be found at Sally's Supply). Leave it in for 20 mins. once a week after shampooing, then rinse very well. Reken has a great Anti-Snap leave in conditioner for daily use and a whole line of Anti-Snap Shampoos etc.

Your hair may be the type hair that just will not take all the chemicals. Use a good hair color for sure. I hope you are doing this professionaly. Hair color has come a long way and your stylist shoud know what your hair can take and she should also tell you to stop doing so much to your hair if it is looking like this. You are a walking advertisement for her and if you are using Walmart and Sallys colors THATS YOUR PROBLEM
